November 25, 2018
While the Bharatiya Janata Party is battling with Congress and the Bahujan Samaj Party for Dalit votes in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chattisgarh, the party is already in election mode in the all-important Uttar Pradesh with an eye on the 2019 general elections.
Its state unit is holding a series of meetings to placate angry Dalits who voted overwhelmingly for Modi in 2014 and then Yogi in 2017.
